We are delighted to announce that Dr. Merilee Brockway is joining the Azad Lab as a postdoctoral fellow this summer. Merilee has been awarded the Molly Towell Perinatal Research Foundation Fellowship to study a new strategy for matching donor milk with recipient infants in the NICU. Congratulations and Welcome, Merilee!
The Visual and Automated Disease Analytics (VADA) program is a collaboration between the University of Manitoba and University of Victoria that trains graduate students in different disciplines to translate complex health data to monitor and prevent the outbreak of infectious diseases. This year students will have the opportunity to work with the CHILD Cohort Study data that has been collected from participating families across Canada.
Dr. Azad was interviewed by The New York Times to discuss breastfeeding, breast milk, and the infant gut microbiome.
